Albert Kramer, MD

Dr. Kramer joined our group in 1990. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester graduating cum laude, he attended the Mount Sinai Medical School in NYC and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, receiving the outstanding resident award. Dr. Kramer completed his fellowship training in Gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the subspecialty Board of Gastroenterology. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology. He is on staff as an attending physician in the division of gastroenterology at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Kramer also recently served as co-medical director of the Advanced Endoscopy Center and currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee for the center.

Amnon Gotian, MD, FACP, FACG

Dr. Gotian joined our practice in 2003. He graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. He completed his medical studies at the New York State/American Program of the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv University. He completed his internship training at Memorial Sloann Kettering Cancer Center and North Shore University Hospital (Combined Program). His residency training in Internal Medicine was completed at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. He went on to receive his training in Gastroenterology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Gotian is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the sub-specialty Boards of Gastroenterology. He is the author of several publications in peer-reviewed gastroenterology journals and has presented numerous times at national scientific meetings. Dr. Gotian is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and serves on staff as an attending physician in the division of gastroenterology of Montefiore Medical Center. As an active member in American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), he has served on the National Patient Care Committee. Dr. Gotian has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG). Fellowship is a mark or distinction and is only awarded to special group of doctors who are dedicated to continuing education in medical practice, teaching, or research. It recognizes ongoing individual service and contributions to the practice of medicine. Dr. Gotian serves as co-medical director of the Advanced Endoscopy Center as well as on the Board of Managers Committee and the Executive Committee. He is also a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (NYSGE). Dr Gotian is an award winning physician and a recent recipient of both the prestigious Patients' Choice Award (for 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014) and Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award (for 2011, 2012 and 2013); an honor roll of America's favorite doctors, selected by their patients and only given to the top 5% of physician in the country.

Ira Tepler, MD, FACG

Dr. Tepler joined our practice in 1997. He graduated from Columbia University with honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa for his academic excellence. He completed his medical doctorate at Columbia's College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and went on to receive his training in Gastroenterology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Tepler is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine both in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Tepler is on staff as an attending at the division of gastroenterology of Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Tepler is a member of the American College of Gasteoenterology and served as a member of the National Patient Care Committee. He was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG). Dr. Tepler served as co-medical director of the Advanced Endoscopy Center and now serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the center.

Ian Harnik, MD, FACP

Dr. Harnik joined our practice in July 2012. After graduating magna cum laude from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, he attended NYU School of Medicine, completing his medical degree in 2004. Dr. Harnik went on to train as an intern and resident in internal medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He then continued with fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Harnik is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and has published several peer-reviewed journal articles. Dr. Harnik is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and serves on staff as an attending physician in the division of gastroenterology of Montefiore Medical Center. He continues to be an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). Dr. Harnik was recently elected as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
