IRC 2100 Infared Coagulator

Our doctors utilize an FDA approved, in-office, non-surgical hemorrhoid treatment called Infrared Coagulation (IRC). IRC provided immediate and lasting relief from bleeding hemorrhoids without surgery, anesthesia or lengthy recovery period to hundreds of our patients. IRC is very effective and essentially pain free.

Therapy may begin after ensuring that other important causes of rectal bleeding have been properly investigated. IRC is performed by our board certified gastrointestinal endoscopy specialists at our GALAR Hemorrhoids Treatment Center in Riverdale. A small probe will be used to directly contact the hemorrhoid, exposing the tissue to a short burst of infrared light. This coagulates the hemorrhoid causing it to shrink. The treatment takes less than 10 minutes per session. Approximately three sessions are required for most patients. This therapy can significantly reduce or stop your hemorrhoids from bleeding.
